Oracle AI Database@AWS is now available in two additional regions: Europe (Stockholm), and US West (N. California), each starting with one Availability Zone. This regional expansion reflects continued momentum for Oracle AI Database@AWS by bringing the total number of regions to 22 globally. This gives customers more deployment options for lower latency, in-country data residency, and business continuity planning.
The addition of Stockholm and San Jose expands the geographic footprint for customers running enterprise workloads across Oracle and AWS environments. For organizations in the Nordics and nearby European markets, the Stockholm region can help support local performance and data residency needs. For customers in the western United States, the San Jose region brings Oracle AI Database@AWS closer to a major technology and innovation hub, supporting more deployment choice for applications and data services that need proximity to users, systems, and cloud resources.
With Oracle AI Database@AWS, customers can run Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Exadata Database Service, Autonomous AI Lakehouse, and native AI Vector Search in an integrated Oracle and AWS experience. Teams can use familiar AWS tools and consolidated AWS billing while running Oracle Database services on OCI infrastructure deployed in close proximity to AWS. This helps customers bring Oracle database performance, availability, and AI capabilities closer to applications running in AWS, without re-architecting their environments.
